ok stomach sleepers

heres my question--I am a side/stomach sleeper--very restless--when i wake up I am almost always on my stomach--so the cpap pro looks swesome BUT I worry about the hose in front---the hose in the back of my head masks look amazing---I am wiling to listen---one thing i have discovered is I hate the headgear!!!!
PLEASE any recommendations would be amazingly appreciated!!!
thank you!! you guys are giving me hope, and I am siting here in tears thinking maybe I dont have to give up.

to add--I have essentially given up--been thru 4 masks, and just cant deal---hated the marks on my face and the pain, the swift made me crazy slipping all over my head. thanks

One of the best masks for a stomach sleeper is the Aura! As far as the headgear, you would need to follow rested gal's deconstruct guide to make the existing Aura headgear more comfortable for you. Good Luck!

As a side/stomach sleeper I think the NAII is one of the best answer for this. I consider my self a roller and keep going from left shoulder down, to stomach, to right shoulder, turning completely over to left shoulder again and so forth. Hose wraps around my neck which usually wakes me a couple times a night.

NAII very seldom gives me a problem. It requires no headgear to speak of. I do use the strap behind the head, but could do with out.

It is a mask that people fear for some reason, and I don't understand why. I have looked at many masks, I own six or seven and still go back to the NAII, every time.

I use a CPAPPRO right now and side sleeping is ok but when you go beyond that the mouthpiece likes to hit the pillow and then it tries to come loose. It won't come out but you will feel resistance in your mouth where it is pushing on it. I have woke up face down wearing it and the nasal pillows were not leaking that bad but my mouth was getting the pressure from being pushed against the mattress not real comfortable. Although I am waiting for the swift nasal pillow system to try now, mainly because I am tired of sticking the mouthpiece in my mouth

The Breeze. I love my Breeze, it's quieter than my Aura and it is perfect for stomach and side sleeping. Give it a try.

Don't give up, there is a solution for every problem.
I have adjusted fairly easily, still using my first mask, it's been over a year. I use the Respironics Comfort mask, which is not very well liked by a lot of the posters.
I was a stomach sleeper also, found it very hard to fall asleep on my back.
So, I have learned to sleep on my sides, and I also can sleep on my stomach if I wish.

I wonder how may posters out there have had just a few problems adjusting as I have?

My fifth mask was "the one" for me. I primarily sleep on my stomach and then occassionally on my back. The Aura works great for tummy sleeping and I don't have problems with leaks like I did with the other masks.

you guys, my hubby works in outside sales for a medical supply company and he brought me home a breeze today!!! i took your advice and have been wearing it---I think this may be the thing for me, I am so excited to try it tonite. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wishing you luck. Don't forget to search this forum for the Breeze "tweaks". I still think you would love the Aura too - and the headgear can be removed in the "deconstructed" version. A couple of pantyhose straps beat velcro headgear all to heck.

If you have trouble stabilizing the Breeze, just take about a 3-4" wide and about 14" long strip of pantyhose (tights work better), and gently tie it around your head to where it snugs the nasal pillows down and holds them into place. That trick works great for the Aura, so I assume it will work for the Breeze too.
