OT: Moving Parents into New Home

Starlette...so feel for you in these posts! We moved my mom in with us two years ago because of dementia...she fought me all the way at first and that was the hard part. She loved her "farm" and didn't want to leave it, it had belonged to her folks and we moved there when I was 5, so it's "home" to me still too! The good part for me is our property is next door to her property and I have the opportunity to go over and walk around when I want, but you can't help but be flooded with memories. I love these hills as much as my mother and we've roamed them together berry picking, mushroom hunting, and chasing cows for many years. I stand in the yard sometimes and just "remember"...it's a sad and sometimes weird feeling to do that. The sibs think I'm crazy and should sell the place...can't do it!! Mom is now bedfast and not long for this world...and maybe when she's gone I can consider the sell....but I doubt it!
