I have a small table that sits next to the bed...my cpap sets on the bottom shelf and I just run my hose up and under the bed covers. Hang my mask on one of the bed posts at end of morning! I am now using an apap for pressure changes so no room for it on the shelf...it sets on a thick dictionary next to my bed on the floor. So far I've never had any problems with rainout.

I bought a small cabinet for my cpap. It is slightly lower than my bed. I just have my machine and humidifier sitting on top of it with the hose in a hose management setup. The mask hangs on the hose manager during the day. I disconnect it from the hose so that everything can dry. There is a drawer just under the top that holds lots of small cpap items. This drawer could also hold my mask.

Under the drawer there is a cabinet area with a door. In there, I have my bottle of distilled water and my battery backup, as well as a flashlight. I bought the cabinet here in Canada, online, for $49.00.

Before the need to nap during the day, I had my ventilator on the nightstand and the oxygen concentrator on the floor in front of it (so I could reach the switch from the bed).

Now, we have it all on a mobil cart that gets moved from bedroom to family room every day so I can sleep anywhere and be masked up and safe.

Sounds like a good project. There are a few out there to get some ideas from:

http://www.patientsleepsupplies.com/CPAP-Stand.html

I can't find the link to the one that is an open tier design with a pop up top.

If you do make one, post the results.

I built a wooden box about 13-14" wide, 6" deep and 5" high. CPAP sits on this and can easily be slid under the bed out of the way if necessary.

We didn't have nightstands when I started on CPAP, so I used a milk crate turned upside down with a cloth on it until I found nightstands that are lower than our bed.

Cheers,

Hubby uses an end table rescued from an alley abandonment.
He mounted a shelf on the wall for my machine and my little LED lamp.
I have a small child's backless chair below it (minus cushion) for my phone, keys, hearing aid dryer and tissues.
A small bookcase beyond them holds distilled and drinking water, my meds, my ereader, FM and XMradios, and books.

An out of date company law book. Nice and thick, nice height off the ground, water resistant and completely useless otherwise...

My setup, exactly. My hose then goes up and around the bedpost. Earl

On my side of the bed is an L shaped office desk. I have a mine setting on that with a sound/vibration dampening mat underneath it and the 40 gallon reef tank next to it. The sound of water helps me relax and fall asleep.

after a leaky humidifier ruined my expensive bedside table, i replaced it with a 6 drawer all plastic stand from rubbermaid, its the same height as the bed which is pretty tall and works great. might not look the best but I don't care. Never again have to worry if the humidifier leaks.

Ditto for me, except mine only has 3 drawers. It has wheels on the bottom so I can use it anywhere in my house or out to my motorhome.

On my night stand. Roughly the same height as my bed. Hose loops up and around the bedpost and then slightly downward to the mask.
