Do Fisher and Paykal masks work on Resmed?

G'day,

I walked past a chemist that is selling their brand new CPAP equipment on sale. I saw a (think it is called the zest?) nasal mask that fits over your whole nose with the headgear complete for 110 bucks (roughly the same price American dollars). I just wanted to know is the Fisher and Paykal masks compatible with RESMED machines?

If you can stick on the end of a standard hose - it works.

yes, you can use any mask you want. Just remember to change the setting from nasal pillow, full face or to whatever setting for whatever mask you are using.

Well, I'm using a Resmed Swift FX mask on a F&P Icon Auto machine. Sorry, not the exact answer to your question, but may be helpful.

my f&p mask fits on standard tubing. if a mask does need that narrower tube, it should come with a short adapter hose like one of my wife's masks did.

As long as you match the setting to the mask TYPE, you should be fine.
Hybrids count as full face masks.
Total face masks=full face masks.
The setting just adjusts the leak reporting parameters.
If you set it wrong, some of your data might be off, but therapy would be OK.
