Dreams again !

Post by RobertinTX » Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:56 am

OK....I've read and discussed dreams and CPAP..
But lately I've had or weird, crazy and erotic dreams. Vivid dreams.
Are these relayed to my machine or something else ?
I do have trouble falling asleep, it's not my CPAP, it's me.
SO I get up and play cards on line until I know I can sleep.
But lately these dreams, I've always dreamed but not stuff like this.
Any suggestions or theories ?

My suggestion...... Enjoy them while you can.

Have experienced more "pleasant" dreams since starting CPAP therapy, myself.

Best wishes,

About those vivid dreams - are you on any meds with a side effect of altered dreams? I've had that happen a couple times during an adjustment phase on a new med.

Nope, no meds of any kind.
I don't drink but I do smoke.
The only thing I ever take is BC Powders for a headache.

15 Years?

RobertinTx,

FIFTEEN YEARS?! Was your first CPAP a homemade version made from a vacuum cleaner? Just kidding--I am impressed with the length of your experience. I would like to hear any comments you have about improving technology over the years....

LMAO.....a hose, duct tape and someone to blow in it all night. My first wife said I could hook it my the other end and it would be self contained..........
Seriously, my first was a Sullivan, I've tried the fitted mouth piece and would throw it across the room sometime in the night. I've lost weight and that didn't help. I was told I needed my lower jaw broken and re set but they wouldn't guarantee that and besides I'm allergic to pain.
I've got three CPAP machines, just in case one breaks and I stopped counting mask.
At the present time I'm considering a bi pap c flex.. I don't know why, but I'd just like to try it.. My sons tell me when I die they will bury my cpaps with me and my mask on.
IMHO......it all trial and error, I've got more graphs, charts and data than I'll ever use. In fact when I was first tested they had an in home machine they'd hook you up, you'd go home and it was suppose to record all this crap.....Well, thats what it was..
OK, I'm through.......
