Ok, before I get started you were all right about dme and I will eat crow now. I am trying to get them to provide me with the Aura. Well I know that since I just got started and got the NAII that the insurance will not pay for another mask for 6 months and this is fine. I would like to get the Aura to try due to the reviews here. I would be more than happy to pay out of pocket. I go to the dme provider and they have no clue what that is!!!!!!!! I was shocked. I printed pictures and took them over there and still, they had never seen that mask. I have left them to the research on it and they still have no idea , after a week, where to get one since they are kind of limited as to what they can order. Needless to say, I was wrong to go to the DME provider and I will be ordering my mask from cpap.com now. I should have listened but NO! I had to learn the hard way.
DME what was I thinking?

Idahogal, I learned the same DME lesson! I actually know more than the rep at my local DME! In fact, he calls me now to gain info on specific masks, latest equipment, etc... You would think that a DME would stay up on the latest equipment and therapy news! But it seems that they get stuck on one line of products, and simply push them for the biggest profits!

I know just what you went through Idahogal. I asked my DME about the Aura when checking out masks after the Activa I had just didn't seem to work for me. She had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. Well I decided to purchase one from cpap.com and was very happy with my purchase. Well I talked to my DME a month after that and she said hey we got an Aura in. I said thanks but since you didn't know what the heck I was talking about I ordered it online. The silence on the other end was very rewarding.
