HeadGear

Post by sharonokc » Fri Jan 07, 2005 5:17 pm

Most of us choose our headgear by default. It is whatever comes with our mask. Oftimes the headgear is not interchangeable because of the connections.

I have had several types over the years. The nasal pillows with the tube going over the head. The cap. The four point and five point headgear. I don't remember which was which at this point.

One thing I have recently realized is that I invert almost all of my headgear. This seems strange, but this fits my head better. Has anyone else done this?

Sharonokc,

No, I have never heard that before but I did have a guy tell me he was wearing his mask upside down. Or I helped him figure out he was using it wrong.......... The top of the mask was resting on his chin. I guess another example of a DME experince gone bad, he had no help.
