How to avoid back sleeping?
Re: How to avoid back sleeping?
Martial arts belts make great straps. A new gi often comes with a white, so if you know anybody who has gone well beyond the beginner level, they may have several unused ones. Some washings with fabric softener will make them soft and flexible.

Re: How to avoid back sleeping?
Ah, finally a topic I actually know something about compared to the serious technophiles and brainiacs here who help so many people.. Im really indebted to those people including night monkey, their posts are life savers as is this site.
ME: lifelong back sleeper, overweight (235) although used to be 200 before all this stuff. Very narrow airway. Deviated septum. Good sleep numbers but still snore and have apneas WITH full face mask at pressure 13.
So back sleeping is the bane of my existence. And I can tell you that the person who talked about chaining their left wrist to a bedframe was not kidding. Been there done that. I stil do it.
STUFF ive tried:
1 backpack filled with a rubber ball
2. tenns balls
3. ropes hooked to khaki shorts
4. double pillows to prop sidewways
5. wife pushing me over
6. alarms to check my position
7. contraption that positions a rope above me that hooks into back of khaki shorts to promote stomach sleeping
Ive tried it all and still have not found the perfect solution, still looking for it.
