Insurance and CPAP

Post by mirkee » Mon Feb 06, 2012 7:46 pm

I have been on CPAP for 20 years. Very happy with it and I don't believe I have gone one night without my CPAP since diagnosis. I am 61 yo and overweight. 5'10", 220 lbs.

I buy my CPAP supplies here and there, mostly online. I sometimes turn in a claim form to my insurance co. I have Blue Cross Prudent Buyer PPO.

At one time, my old supplier Phoenix CPAP in Orange County CA was aquired by a new company. They sounded like they were going to set the world on fire. They proposed that I sign up with them to receive supplies on a regular basis, according to my insurance schedule. This never panned out and they closed shop.

I would like to sign up for a similar service that would just send me masks, hoses, headgear etc. automatically and bill my insurance. I will pay my co-pay as usual. I would prefer someone close to Orange County, CA, in case I need to visit them. I use a Resmed Escape S8 CPAP and a Fisher Pykel mask.

Any suggestions on a good CPAP provider in OC, CA that can handle this?

Thanks in advance,

Mirkee

Though I hate to recogmend them, call Apria. I have no clue where their warehouse is, but when I call them, they have my account on file, I tell them what I want, and after approval from the insurance (Cigna HMO), I get my stuff in the mail. Their number is: 1-800-310-3363. Call them. I'm sure they take your insurance.
