QUESTION 1: Would I then benefit from installing this driver? I've never updated the driver software for my Windows 7 64 bit computer.
QUESTION 2: What is a DT3500?
Encore Viewer is slow even on super fast computers. It is the software itself which is slow. Nothing you can do to speed it up.
The DT3500 Infineer card reader is something that M series (and older) machines needed to utilize the data carrying Smart cards that were in these older machines. You have no need for the DT3500 because you use SD card for data. So you also have zero need for the driver software for this card reader and even if you were using a M Series machine and that Smart card....it wouldn't make Viewer work any faster.
Respironics Smart cards are these...https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respir ... -card.html
And the DT3500 is the card reader where the Smart cards are inserted. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/Respir ... r-USB.html

So PR System One users....don't even have to worry about this. You can file this tidbit of information in the trash bin.

Encore Viewer and Encore Pro...all versions have been notoriously slow. It is poorly written software and not related to anything anyone has on their computer. Of course if computer is old and slow that will also impact the speed but even on my super fast quad core new Windows 7 64 bit laptop.....Viewer moves along at a snail's pace and Encore Pro is worse.
