So far so good :)
So far so good :)
Well I've had 2 nights on my S9 (and first time on CPAP) and so far its gone very well.
First night had some issue turning on the humidifier warm-up but got that figured out. Wore it 7hrs, AHI -1.2 and leak- 0. Hubby said I kept tightening the straps
but I thought I only did it a couple of times.... I was a little sleepy during the day but it was crazy busy at work and I figure it was my first night on CPAP.
Last night, no mask adjustments, slept 7 hrs, AHI - 1.5, leak - 0. Felt much better this AM. Loooong day at a swim meet and I'm still going Definitely felt I slept better
and I felt more refreshed.
So surprised I've gotten a zero leak 2 nights in a row. It almost seems to be to good to be true......

Still doing well but I have a question... Every night I had had a "0" for leaks except last night I had a "1". When I checked Sleepyhead today, it shows leaks 0-9 but none seem to be long.
Is this normal?

Re: So far so good :)
ResMed says that they can compensate for leaks up to 24 L/min. Sounds like you are well under that mark and that is very good.
Did you mean leak 0.9 on SleepyHead and 1.0 on ResMed machine? If so...the difference is likely due to rounding off. Either way....well below that 24 L/min line.

Re: So far so good :)
The graph shows I had a stepping up leak to 8 last night, just was surprised. No other days have this. I would post the graph but I don't have that option button
to post attachments. It lasted about 45 min.

Re: So far so good :)
We can't do attachments here at this forum. To post images of reports we have to host them on another site and link to them. Here is how I do it below.
A leak up to 8...is nothing at all to worry about. Very minor leak. Go over to the new Bella loop thread and look at last page where I posted my leak line...bear in mind that my machine reports leaks differently but you will see a mountain of a leak...looks worse than it is due to the scale of the graph.
Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 Home Premium has the snipping tool, Basic may not.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.

Still under ten and it didn't wake you up.
Still sounds good. You're doing great.
Variations from night to night are not unexpected.

Thanks! I know the 8 is low, just surprised it lasted so long and I slept through it!! Here is my graph (if this works!). The link works but no picture here....is that correct?

Re: So far so good :)
If you copy/paste the last line in the little boxes of choices for addresses...you get this here.
Makes it easy for us to see. For your mask.....that 8 L/min leak is extremely well controlled leak. The full face masks are notoriously difficult to seal. There a cpap veterans here who would kill to see that short of a small leak. If the scale were twice what it is...that 8 wouldn't be nearly as impressive looking.

Re: So far so good :)
Thats good to hear!! Trying this again with another question.....what does it mean "clear airway" apnea's"? Are those central apneas?
I'm obviously not good at this posting a pic.....I can't seem to get it to work I don't seem to be copying the right link.

Re: So far so good :)
Clear airways...yes...centrals..or open airway cessation of breathing. The machine does the best it can to document these events but it doesn't have the additional dimension of EEG (brain wave for sleep status) and thoracic effort belt which is needed for a "true" central. It is also normal to have a few centrals anyway. We can have them in sleep transition stages as well as just holding our breath a bit when we turn over in bed. Having few "centrals" here and there on our reports, even if they are the real deal, is not anything to have a huge concern about. We worry about them when they are excessive..and happen every hour all night long for every night.
For the images.... you see the little box in photobucket with all the addresses? Put your mouse cursor on the last line in the box....left click mouse....you will see "copied"....come to your post here at the forum...place mouse cursor...right click mouse...choose "paste"...the entire address will show up including the IMG boxes.. you won't see the image until you either click on "preview" or submit. You only see the code while you are composing.
