Yes. You might want to start learning about what machines can do and what software is available.

If you look in my signature and go to the link for PR S1 options...I have some examples of some of the software reports.

Get the right machine with software and you can monitor and adjust your own therapy per the data that is available. Not as comprehensive as a sleep study but obviously a lot more than nothing.

It's more than at CPAP.COM for the flow generator plus a humidifier plus a slimline:

New, Zero Hour (Open Box) ResMed S9 AutoSet and Accessories $749
Cpap.com new price for S9 Autoset..humidifier and heated hose, etc... $1,091
secondwind price may not include heated hose or travel case which aren't terribly expensive.

I don't know. Churches might help, Lion's Club perhaps. You need to do something. If you continue to have sleep apnea, there may very well be 3 adults and 2 grandchildren with noone to support them.

I cannot afford sleep studies and then all the return visits, and yes finally the CPAP machine....all of which I understand cost well over 1000 dollars. Is there any company or even government program that can help me on this -- am so tired of fighting sleep at work and going home and just sitting around telling my grandchildren that I am too tired to play

HELP ! ! ! !

Not sure what hers is, but at this point it does not matter. Her retirement insurance will not pay for another one and the only way she can get another on, is to turn this in.

What I need, is any information on programs that help support the cost or allay the cost of a cpap machine. I have used hers for two nights and wake up feeling refreshed and relaxed. Hers starts out at 4.5 and ramps up to 15. Had no problem with that.

Contacted several resellers nationally and locally and was told they don't do any kind of support help. I know there are some generic type drug companies that help out by cutting costs or providing some drugs free to those who cannot afford them but they are maintenance drugs. Have used this in the past while unemployed. There has to be someone or some company that does the same for CPAP.

Any help or points in the right direction appreciated
