Sinus pain after five nights

Post by abbey101 » Mon Jan 23, 2012 8:56 am

Using SwiftFX and a Phillips respironics Remstar Plus C-Flex a pressure level of 7 and a humidifier which i set at 3 initially and 5 the last two nights. Everything about this experience has been terrific ( mask fits, sleep well, feel better) and no problems except that I feel mild to moderate sinus pain which extends to my ears and across my cheeks.

I don't believe it is an infection ....yet and i am not prone to that type of thing at all but I am convinced it is the cpap causing it. Have any of you had this problem and how did you solve it? Dis it go away on its own with additional use or did you have to switch masks?

It may be related to humidifier setting. Has it improved or worsened with the increase in humidifier setting? Some people need more and some people need less. If you need more you can change the humidifier to Classic mode and get more moisture added. If you need less (and some people do much better with less) then go down from that setting of 3. Are you having any other symptoms like nasal congestion, drainage, etc?
