For the first night of the study, my PLM Index was 18 (42 in REM, 11 in NREM). During the titration, it was 20 (68 in REM , 10 in NREM). I don't know what the normal range is, so I'm unsure about the severity. I'm on .25 mg of requip for the RLS, which I've heard can sometimes help with limb movements too.

Due to finances, I can't get a data capable machine at this point (the machine I have was given to me, and I was told it is high quality other than the data issue). The DME adjusted it to the right pressure for me. Plus, since I am having a hard time getting used to it, I don't have to worry about the insurance company taking away my machine for compliance issues. This takes a lot of stress off re: the cpap treatment, and is allowing me to acclimate to it more slowly. Last night, I think I would have made it through the night with it, except the t-shirt liner I made got soaking wet in the middle of the night, and I obviously couldn't keep the wet fabric on my face. I learned from that and will make some spares to keep on my nightstand if that happens again tonight.

My neurologist ran oodles of lab work-I know he did DHEA/iron, not sure about testosterone. I do have insurance, my doctor had 30 vials of blood drawn, plus the two nights of sleep studies. All of the lab work came back fine. The only other abnormality they've found besides the sleep issues is reduced grip strength. I went to get a second opinion re: the sleep study I had done four years ago. That's when they re-did the sleep study, saying the first one was invalid b/c they didn't take me off sedatives ahead of time for the first one. So, I'm definitely consulting with medical professionals, and will continue to do so. I'm planning on trying the cpap treatment for several months before I would consider other options. If it got to that point, I would go back for a follow up.

Thanks for the advice/info.

Just curious, do you have a result for your ferritin level, magnesium and Vitamin D? You may be able to improve some things that could mean better support for your body to function, particularly around your RLS & PLMD.
