I contacted all my congressmen.

You can bet your bottom dollar the bills will not go away quietly. They'll make changes to "fix the problems," but will leave in the core evil in the bill. If they pass, they'll do the illegal or borderline legal things they have done in the past like the illegal large scale warrantless wiretapping to "fight terror." They'll file false claims like they do now for mass lawsuits. They'll use the laws to threaten people into doing what they want by threatening harassment on unrelated issues or simply killing opponents through legal fees.

Be sure to tell your congressmen to vote against the bills in any form, and in any reincarnation. They are evil and cannot be made freedom friendly.

If someone, such as a movie studio, claims that a web site is involved in piracy, the US government will implement censorship to prevent US citizens from being able to see it. No matter whether it's a US or foreign web site.

No proof is required, the accused is given no chance to defend himself. His web site and perhaps his business will be shut down. "Innocent until proven guilty" is totally absent from these laws.

Web sites are required to censor themselves to prevent their users from publishing things that might "facilitate" piracy whatever that means.

Aachh!--I haven't been here for a couple of days, and absent-mindedly clicked on the splash page just now, thinking I'd find a thread just like this one, to explain what we can do.....and thus missing any mentioned link to the petition. When I re-opened the website here, the dark page did not appear again. Anyone have a link to it?
