Too Much Therapy

Post by andrewherndon » Mon Jan 16, 2012 6:51 pm

I am curious about my therapy. Is there such a thing as too much therapy? When I first started using my CPAP (ResMed Autoset S8) my life was revitalized. I always woke up feeling refresshed and ready for the day. Now, after two years of therapy, I am getting up sluggish and not feeling very rested. I use my machine every night for at least six hours. Most of the time I get at 7 to 8 hours of sleep. My data says that I am getting very good therapy. My AHI is low - 3 to 4. My sleep therapist is very happy with the data and is stretching the follow ups appointments out. So, is there such a thing as too much therapy or should I make an appointment with my therapist to check it out?

No, I wouldn't think the problem is "too much therapy". Maybe your settings could be tweaked, though. Yeah, I'd make an appointment.

If you have not seen you primary care doc lately, it might be a good idea.
Apnea may not be the cause for all your health problems.

Or register and list your equipment and members here can probably help you determine if your therapy is effective.
