Out of curiosity where do you get this 50% or 75% number If you a...never mind. Keep us posted what your ENT says[/quote]
50% and 75% are just arbitrary numbers.

You are right, I did not know that. My insurance does not pay for dme anyway. I have been paying for all of my cpap equipment.

Advice is what I was looking for. I knew that I needed a script for any oxygen. What does OP mean?
avi123 wrote:I like Slinky's answer best. Just look what's happening: the OP on his/her own has decided that he/she needs more oxygen b/c of a nasal turbinate interference. But instead of encouraging the OP to see a doctor a plethora of advices are rendered.

OP....Original Poster...used in reference to the person who has started a thread. Common short cut used instead of quoting you or stating your screen name.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Robysue,
I am familiar with the nasal cycle and that is what I use to wait for me nose to clear naturally. I think that if I did not have a mildly deviated septum perhaps when I clear on my right side it is not enough air when the left is blocked. Thanks for the advice on the nasal pillows. But are you suggesting the pillows because you feel that I would breathe better with them? I am sure my oxygen levels are top notch when I am awake. They did not mention anything about desats as a result of my 2005 sleep study.
I may just buy an oximeter that shows the lowest oxy level during the night, and if it is under 90 I will show my primary care doc.
I doubt the doc will give me any oxy anyway. but I appreciate your help and advice and everyone elses.
