Q: Deviated Septum & Liquid Diets for Weight Loss?

Post by DavidCarolina » Mon Jan 09, 2012 11:35 pm

Anyone had septum surgery that helped reduce apneas?

Also, anyone used a liquid diet to get to ideal weight? Im using slimfast, but very interested in a total liquid diet for two months,
if anyone can recommend one.

David Carolina, many many years ago I did a couple different liquid diets but neither are still on the market after lawsuits started pouring in. I'm not against anyone doing whatever they need to do to lose weight as long as the research (not the hype) supports its safety. Hopefully you'll get some recommendations on what is tried and true.

In general, one theory that I heard when in a weight loss program seemed counter intuitive, but we were instructed when we plateaued to increase our calorie intake to a maintenance level for 3 days to trick our metabolism into activity again.

Pat, congrats on your weight loss! That's impressive!

Kathy
