Celebrating!
Celebrating!
Last night was my first night sleeping all the way through with my mask on.
Just wanted to share!
I'll update my post with my data to see what my first WHOLE night looked like. So far I've only had 1 other night (only 5 hours - ambien induced) and then a slew of 4-5 hour nights where I lay awake.

.2 AHI
Not bad.
One question though - My Min APAP pressure is 7 and Max is 12. 3 times last night I hit my max and it looks like I may have hit plateau there. It almost looks like it would have gone higher if it could have? I may try adjusting my max higher -- maybe to 14? Would that be a very bad idea?

Re: Celebrating!
With that low of a AHI I would be more concerned with how you feel when you awake in the morning. If you feel like you are getting more rested and your AHI continues to remain low, then I would not worry about reaching your max pressure a few times in the night. If you start waking up feeling worse, your AHI keeps increasing or you see that you are at your max pressure quite a number of times through out your night then you might want to increase your max by .5 cmH2O or 1.0 cmH20 and see if that helps out.
Remember to give your body time to adjust to your changes for a week or so before making any additional changes or you could end up chasing your tail, so to speak.

Re: Celebrating!
I'm jealous! How long are you spending down near the 7 end? IF over a week or so, you hardly ever stay below 9 or 10, say; you might want to up the bottom number. I've read many times that chasing an obstruction can cause the pressure to go higher because of the delay in adjusting. I'm sure others will chime in to confirm or correct me.Dazzles wrote:.2 AHI

Re: Celebrating!
Dazzles,
Congrats on your very good night. Bask in the glory and don't change anything just yet. There is plenty of time to fine tune. You are still getting accustomed to everything. AHI 0.2 is fantastic. How do you feel? Are your leaks controlled?

Re: Celebrating!
To be honest I felt insanely tired the next day, but I know it will take time for me to adjust.
I spend most of the time around 9 or 10, then go up to max 3 or 4 times a night and then the graph sort of plateaus there for awhile then goes back down. I couldn't sleep again last night. But I kept it on for a few hours! I'm hoping that my hose hanger, cover, and aromatherapy helps out. Especially the hanger and cover. I still get a bit of rainout because I like my sleeping habitat to be extremely cool.

Re: Celebrating!
A hose hanger was my recent addition and I love it. Didn't realize hose management would make such a difference for me. I use Clear aromatherapy and I do like it. Good luck with everything.
