Try unchecking the box to enable multithreading, in Preferences.
I tried that. I'm uninstalling the 9.1 and 9.2 I got version 8.8 out of my Time Machine backup files and I'll use that until I have time to dig into this. Sorry I didn't answer your previous advice - Christmas, Grandson's birthday, year end business taxes and husband in the hospital - in other words Life happened! Thanks for your help and I'll try again when I can think more clearly.
