DeVilbiss problem

Post by Month5 » Mon Feb 20, 2006 8:45 pm

I've had my machine for 2 years + or -. Recently took it on a trip and it didn't turn on when I plugged it in. Any ideas? Any ideas where I can get it fixed? One place I called wanted a prescription for the repair! Another said they aren't fixable, buy a new one.

Anyone know where I can get this machine at least checked out? Or maybe there is a common problem that has an easy fix?

Month5,

I would suggest you contact Devilbiss to see if they offer a repair service. The website is at: http://www.sleepcompliance.com/html/home.htm and http://www.sunrisemedical.com/

I have had my Devilbiss 9000 for three years and it has done fine so far.

Good luck!

DeVilbiss problem

I called Sunrise and they are the ones that gave me the names of the two companies that were not helpful. I think their goal in both cases was just to rent me new ones.

With your lead, I checked out sleepcompliance.com and have sent them an email about the problem. Have also printed out a list companies in my region who I will contact.

But in the mean time, has anyone else had this problem?

I would contact the DME who sold it to you. They should be able to help fix it/help you purchase a new machine.

I had a 9001D that was great for about 3 years and died a premature death.

I tore it apart and do not think it was practical to fix. Seems the warranty had expired,

Go to cpap.com- I think this is this sites market place.
I found it more practical to get one outside the normal channels.

If not go to yahoo auctions and get another one.
I would think about switching to an APAP for many reasons.

I have a PB companion 318 that I will sell very cheap for a backup for anyone wanting one. Practically unused.
