SleepyHead data import

Post by teknomom » Tue Dec 20, 2011 1:57 pm

If I'm out of town for a few days and bring my SD card back to upload into SleepyHead, will it show data from all the nights or only the last one? So far I've done one night at a time.

It will show all data as complete as long as the files are complete. You won't lose anything.

No time limit at all. That's why removing SleepyHead and doing a fresh import still gives us all the old data from months ago. You could wait a month between importing and once imported those 30 days would be right there just like you had done it every day.

Edit to add...PR S1 machines don't overwrite the high detail data.
ResMed machines will so they have a 7 day time limit before high def data gets overwritten.

However, ResMed S9 users need to remember that detailed waveform data older than 7 days are purged automatically. Hence, S9 users must backup (or switch SD cards) at least once a week.

Everyone seems to talk about SleepyHead. I have downloaded the program but can't pull it up. Does it work with my machine? Any helpful hints for me?

I use it on a Mac (running Lion) so I don't know about other systems. I didn't have any trouble downloading it, getting it to run or getting it to read my SD card. One of the computer gurus may be able to help.

Please click on the link to the machine that you have chosen in your profile. It is an older machine and will not work with SleepyHead. It is doubtful you were given that machine by a DME as it has been discontinued a long time. Though you may have got it from another source.

Click on the link to my machine and see if the external box looks like mine. If it does then your equipment is a PR System One Remstar machine of some model. All the PR machines are grouped under PR in the drop down equipment menu.

If your machine has an SD card then it is a PR machine...whether it has useful data depends on model.
SH will work on the PR System One machines but it won't work on the older Respironics machines.

Most common error when trying to import data using SleepyHead is that people go to the P series folder for the download and you actually just need to go to the drive letter where the SD card is and then import.
This is explained in the SH User Guide with a picture.

Confirm which machine you actually have. Even if it is the older machine there is software available but we need a card reader. Before I go into all that...let's see for sure which machine you have.

Kayursula,

How old is your CPAP machine? The REMstar Pro 2 C-Flex CPAP Machine, the one you have listed in your signature looks like this:
Image

The REMstar Pro 2 C-Flex CPAP Machineis at least two generations back in the Resprionics line of machines: It was first replaced by the Resprionics M-Series and the Resprionics M-Series has now been replaced by the PR System One.

The Resprionics M-Series CPAP Pro looks like this:
Image

The Philips Resprionic System One CPAP Pro with C-Flex Plus is the current generation machine and it looks like this: Image
With the heated humidifier attached it looks like this:

My guess is that you've got the PR System One. In that case, when you go to edit your machine details in the user profile, you need to look for PR System One REMstar Pro CPAP Machine with C-Flex Plus on the Pull-Down list.

If your machine is NOT the PR System One, then I don't think SleepyHead will work with your older Resprionics machine. But if you do have the PR System One Pro, then SH should work. When you say you "can't pull it up", can you explain what you mean?

Are you unable to find out where the SH software was put on your machine when you downloaded the software?

Were you unable to properly extract the files from the downloaded archive?

Or does SH launch ok, but you can't seem to download any data from your SD card?
