Burning Cold Nose

Post by JoyinSF » Sun Dec 18, 2011 2:16 pm

This is so weird ... I've been using my CPAP for about a year now and recently I wake up with a burning nose that is ICE cold. It hurts. It is not every night but often enough. Any ideas? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. The problem might be in your equipment. Enter your equipment in your user profile and that will be a great help.

Hi, Sounds like you need a heated humidifier. I have one on my mine & you can set the heat to whatever temperature you need. Also, I used Bacitracin & Ayr in my nose every night before I use my CPAP & also in the morning when I get up. It keeps the inside of your nose from drying out & it will keep you from having nosebleeds. I am prone to them & had a lot of problems when I first went on CPAP.
