Good point Spinner. When the missionaries in New Guinea insisted that the nude natives wear Tee shirts, all the ones that complied became ill because the shirts would retain moisture...causing chilling and illness.

Many years ago I had night sweats. The doctor ordered a upper GI test and found that I have a hiatal hernia and the resulting gastric reflux was causing the sweats.
Acid reduction medicine stops mine. I started with Malox and now use omeprazole .
