Sleep Aid Additive.

Post by Barkoff » Tue Dec 06, 2011 9:11 pm

I use a Vicks inhaler before using my nose mask, but by morning I'm stopped up with was feels like nasal restriction. Does anyone know of an additive to my distilled water in my C-Pap machine to aid in keeping sinuses clear?

Thank you.

Some people use the pursleep aroma therapy called CLEAR. You put it near the air intake and it helps to clear up congestion. You could also try to put a bottle of open vics by the air intake too.
Also make sure you use a humidier.
I am sure some of the other people on the forum will have some good suggestions for you.

You don't want to add anything to the water in the tank but you can put something near the air intake like SleepingBear mentioned.

You didn't mention your humidifier setting...but you may need to adjust it for more or less moisture. Congestion could be related to humidity setting. Some people need more and some people need less.

Thank you, I'm researching it now, but what exactly is it? Does it come with a little pad, and you add a few drops to the pad and place by your c-pap air intake?

OK, I found yje Pur-sleep website, does anyone know if all their fragrances are good for sinus relief, or just the Clear?

thank you.

The Clear essential oil has more stuff that will work like inhaling the Vicks. There may be others that also do the same thing.

Some of the other fragrances are just fragrance. I have the Lavender...I like floral scents. A little goes a long way. You can get a little round disc pad and holder for the oil or you can just put some on a cotton ball in a small dish next to air intake. I lost the little disc and disc holder.

Try changing your humidity setting before adding anything. Some people need more and some less to keep the sinuses clear.
