Resmed ResScan 3.16

Post by Uncle_Bob » Mon Dec 05, 2011 3:19 pm

I have updated the Resmed ResScan link below my avatar to the 3.16 version.

I never came across a version 3.15

You have to fill in the form before you can download. And yes, Mickey Mouse can still be your name

Is there anything new in this version?

I've been running all ResScan versions from 3.10 to 3.14 without any problems on my Windows Ultimate 7 x 64 computer.
When I installed version 3.16 I get a "ResScan Application Error" asking me to reinstall the program.
I've tried reinstalling, rebooting, and uninstalling and installing, and downloading a second copy, but I always get the same error message.
The program does run in Windows XP emulation mode without any problems.
I've never had this problem before with any other versions.
I'll be interested if anyone else has this problem.
I haven't really noticed any major differences.
There is a new summary graph showing total usage.
It remembers my summary graph settings.
It's a smaller download. ResScan 3.14 was 176Mb, and 3.16 is 97.6Mb

Thanks Uncle-Bob. It installed successfully on my mac computer using VM Fusion and win 7 .32 bit. I haven't noticed anything different yet.

I just TRIED to download & install it, but it didn't give me version 3.16, it gave me version 3.13????

First, I just "ran" it, then I tried to "save" it. Both times, it re-installed version 3.13 (my current version)

What am I doing wrong???

Hmm.. I downloaded it last night. It says 3.16 in the setup files. Let me go install it and see what it says.

I uninstalled the old version first. It won't hurt the data files. Then installed the new one.

I didn't uninstall the old version. I just installed right over it and it changed version to 3.16.
I have no data yet. Installed ResScan because I am going to be trying a ResMed machine shortly.

I have no idea what is going on. When you went to the link in UncleBob's signature did you get the ResMed page where we have to give our information and agree to use it under physician's care or did you get a direct download link without the personal information page? BTW...I didn't use real personal info.

Anyone know where you can find the release notes? I'm thinking this is just bug fixes since this is a minor revision number, but it would be nice to see what those fixes are.

PM me the link if anyone has it.

John

If it ain't broke, I ain't fixin' it. I'll wait til I have problems with .13 or hear of some advantage to the newer versions. I usually like the old stuff best anyway.

With this version I've finally solved the annoying problem that I couldn't use 3.14 on my 64 bit computer (but could on my husband's). Finally I can download by my data and my son's to the same computer!
