Rem sleep patterns !
Are their any flow patterns or other data available on the S9 that would indicate to me portions of the nite when Im in Rem sleep. I know I dream most nites, but wondering if its just once a nite or am I in and out of Rem, multiple times. I think I mostly dream just before I wake up, but would be fun to know ! Any examples of flow Rem flow patterns would be nice to see. thanks, Dan

Re: Rem sleep patterns !
I had no REM sleep during either of my sleep studies so, out of curiosity, I got a Zeo. I found that I get deep sleep early in the night and REM several times later in the night. It was really interesting to see a similar pattern every night. Don't know if you're interested in a Zeo but my husband and I thought it helped us to know our sleep patterns.

Re: Rem sleep patterns !
Did you use your ZEO with or without a CPAP? I'm curious as to wether it would ever show you in REM without the CPAP due to the apnea events knocking you back out of the REM or Deep Sleep.
Re: Rem sleep patterns !
No, there really isn't anything in the flow patterns to help us identify sleep stages. We really need EEG data to know for sure. Now those Zeos seem promising but I have never tried one.LittleRedTruck wrote:Are their any flow patterns or other data available on the S9 that would indicate to me portions of the nite when Im in Rem sleep.
We do cycle through all the sleep stages multiple times a night. REM will actually be more frequent and last for longer times in the wee hours of the morning so it would be quite common for you to seem to be dreaming in those wee hours.LittleRedTruck wrote:wondering if its just once a nite or am I in and out of Rem, multiple times. This page has a small hypnogram that shows the normal cycles. Look on the right below the little kid.

Re: Rem sleep patterns !
I used it before Cpap. My husband has almost no deep sleep and lots of REM with lots of awakenings. In the online view you can't see most arousals - it's not that detailed.jnickell wrote:Did you use your ZEO with or without a CPAP? I think the Zeo thread got bumped so you can get more details there.

Re: Rem sleep patterns !
Thanks for the reply on both! I read the whole ZEO thread too lol. Bummed it said you were in REM when you were being aroused constantly. I would have thought it wouldn't register any or very little REM, because you never stay in that cycle.
