Snoring despite CPAP

Hi all
A relative of mine asked me a question about his father-in-law. The father-in-law has been on CPAP for a few years now. Before CPAP he was a prolific snorer, able to "wake the dead." Now after a few years of faithful CPAP use, he is apparently snoring again, despite CPAP use. I recommended to my cousin that he tell his father-in-law to return to his sleep doctor, (he apparently hasn't seen him in years) and see what he wants to do. I didn't suggest he have his father-in-law adjust his own pressure, since he isn't inclined to learn specifics about his treatment. I also do no know whether he has access to his data or if he even has any data. (He lives several hours away from me and I don't really know him any way, or I'd offer to read his data card for him.) What do you think?

I think you're right to send him to the sleep doc. A lot could have changed in a few years.
