Morning headaches?

Post by idahogal » Sat Feb 18, 2006 11:26 am

I have been on cpap for 5 days now and I get up in the morning with a headache. Is this normal for beginners or is this something I need to be concerned about? I appreciate any help. Thanks

Morning Headaches

Post by Lions Guy » Sat Feb 18, 2006 12:06 pm

Idahogal, I also had morning headaches at first but when I increased the humidity they went away. It seems the constant flow of air was drying out my sinuses. I also found that if I smoked during the day I had a greater chance of getting them.

Lions Guy, Thanks that is good to know. I have my humidity set at 3 maybe I will try 4 tonight and see if that helps. I do smoke so maybe that is it as well.

Morning headaches

Post by RobertinTX » Thu Feb 23, 2006 9:51 am

I've been using a CPAP for way tooo many years and wake up with a headache as well. It seems like it takes about an hour or so for them to go away. Could it be the pressure setting being to low or something like that ?
I to smoke and that dosen't seem to be a problem, although, I'm sure it is.
My headaches seem to be in the front of my head. So maybe it could be a humidity problem, even though I live where the humidity is relatively high ( 50% +) all the time.
I'd appreciate hearing from others or Idahogal about this.
Thanks
