Username problem

Post by Chaparral » Mon Nov 28, 2011 4:08 pm

I just signed in as a new member and already I have a problem. I seem to have two user names. I signed up with one but when I came to post it said that one was taken, so I picked another one. Now it's chaos. Please tell me how I can get it down to one name with one password. I can't find an address for site administration.

Make sure you're not logged in on more than one computer. When you log in you have the option to keep logged in. Then go to the user control panel and at the bottom is a link to delete all board cookies. Click on that. See if that doesn't clear things up. Go the PM page and send a PM to site admin to delete the unwanted user ID.

I don't know what the exact rules are but it looks like you do not have the option to log in simultaneously on more than one machine. And I think sometimes things just get fouled up and you have to clear all your cookies to get back to normal.

It might help to refresh your browser. I just quit and bring up a new one.
Failing that, you may need to delete some cookies--whatever that means. . .
