Humidifier water

Might be a weird question but... Does everyone Clean there Humidifier warer every day or add more each day?
I always empty mine and refill each evening, I have a friend that just adds water each night.

You will find a wide range of answers on this question. I top off the water tank each night with distilled water. Once every 2 or 3 or 4 months I will dump the tank, rinse it out, let it air dry and start all over again. Using distilled water I don't have any mineral build up so tank still looks like new.
Obviously I am rather lax or lazy. Others have a much stricter regiment and that is fine. It all comes down to what you feel most comfortable doing. I was more rigid when I first started therapy but that quickly got old.

I use distilled water, too. But, I empty the container every morning and let it dry during the day. I do not fill the container up all the way. Over the few months that I have learned approx how much water will be used per night, and only put that much in, so I am not wasting water.
Pretty much everyone on here has his or her own routine with care and cleaning of their equipment, so feel free to figure out your own routine. One caution, though, if you start seeing pink gunk in the container, you need to clean it more often!

I would bet that the people who are most attentive to their humidifier are the System One users since it's so easy to remove the humidifier chamber. I used to empty, rinse and dry daily...but now I'm using a machine that is much more cumbersome. So I just top off daily and occasionally will remove and clean chamber.

I look at the water inside every morning.
If it looks squeaky clean, I just add water.
If I see ANYTHING--cloudiness, specks, whatever; I dump and wash.

My water goes dry every single night. I have my humidifier set to 4 on a system one and I have another humidifer in the room. I live in a really dry climate here in SLC. So I fill mine up each night.

I top mine up with distilled every other night and wash it on occasion if I happen to catch it empty.

I have done the same for over 15 years: Add distilled water when needed, wash the tank once a year! NEVER had a problem, and it is inexpensive and quick!

I top it up every couple of days with filtered boiled water. I cant get distilled water at my supermarket. I know if I looked around I could find some but cant be bothered.I wash the tank once a week. If I look at the bottom of the tank it looks clean but rub my finger over the bottom of it and there is a thin clear film forming. I give my hose and mask a dunking once a month. I also give the machine a wipe over.Change filter every 3 months. Probably never change my tank,cant see why you would. Will change mask and softgel when needed,had it six months already. I wash the softgel cushion every day.
