cpap masks & headgear

Been on cpap since 2000. I have spent countless coin on masks and headgear. Why are they so expensive for a bit of velcro and a nose piece and don't last. I generally wear out 2 a year. For years I used an adams nasal unit set up. It was so sturdy and reliable, but it was discontinued. Need one say why. Why are all good things that last, discontinued? Just saying

Mostly because theres no money in selling something once and also because people like fancy, durable and fancy usually dont come in the same package.

Thanks a bunch for the website. I just spoke to them and was informed that the gear is back on the market again. Perhaps there was numerous disappointed users. Anyway thanks again and I can quit grumbling nitely trying to get my replacement gear in position to stop leaking
