Funny shaped face???? Could it be true?

Post by FeelingBetter » Thu Nov 17, 2011 8:23 pm

I am having a terrible time with masks. I used to the on the Acclaim2 nasal mask. Then my pressures were increased to 10-18 and I run at 14+, 15+ 16+ from about three hours after going to bed and then the last hour before my alarm goes off I am at 18. Anyway, the high pressures did not work with my sinuses and the nasal mask. Now we are having a terrible time getting a FF mask that won't leak below my bottom lip when the pressure climbs. It seems that my face is an upside down triangle shape....wide at the forehead and narrow towards the chin. Has anyone else had this problem? What worked?

You need to fit the mask at a full pressure of 18, not at the low presssure of 10. Be sure to lie down in your normal sleep position to fit the mask-- machine on at 18.

Ff masks are hard to seal at higher pressures. Take a look at "taming the mirage Quattro" in my signature, even if that's a different mask the ideas will help.
