Introductions

Post by Guest » Tue Nov 15, 2011 10:44 am

Hello all. Found the forum through searching for snoring problems. After reading 100 pages or so, I swear someone has been following me around and posting it here. I go in for my sleep study tonight after speaking with my GP last week. My wife is about ready to make me move out in the garage if i cannot find something to help with sleeping/snoring. All of your advise and testimonials have been very helpful to get me on the right track for some help. I am at the end of my rope with the daytime drowsiness, morning headaches, general sluggish feeling I have now days. Just turned 42 and know I should have more energy than this. The wife has taken to sleeping in our home office, or the couch and that makes me feel guilty and generally hard on myself over all this.

I hope to be a active member of this community and look foreword to all the advice you can lay on me. It does not fall upon deaf ears! Thanks all!

Good luck! It's worth the annoyance of using CPAP just to stop your wife from complaining about your snoring

Happy Wife=Happy Life Welcome, and good luck with your sleep test. You will want to request a copy of your test results, full report,a few pages , not just a summary. You may also want to do a little homework, Janknitz has an excellent blog with info about getting set up with a machinehttp://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/what-you-need-to-know-before-you-meet-your-dme-part-i/. Keep us posted. kathy
Any landing you walk away from is a good one; if you don't break your airplane it's excellent.

Welcome to the forum.
I know what you are going through with the problems snoring can cause in a relationship. Ionly went through with the sleep study to get hubby to stop complaining about my snoring. He said that I never stopped breathing (or, apparently, never stopped snoring) so I couldn't possibly have apnea. Guess what! I have apnea! I started therapy a few months ago, and it is unlike anything I have ever done before. I am beginning to feel more energy and have less trouble getting my brain in gear each morning. If you do have apnea, this therapy is the best and cheapest treatment.
Please come back after the sleep study and let us know what you find out. You will find lots of support and suggestions here. Friends, too.
