Water left in the morning in the Humidifier

I have been on my CPCP machine for almost a week now. I'm getting adjusted. I have a question. SHould i empty the water each morning thats left over? I live in East Texas and we average 40-50 RH. I fill each night to right below the line and there seldom any gone. I use distilled water. Also cleaning reminders. I was told to wipe mask down with baby wipes without alcohol each night or each morning. CLean the hose 1 time a week with regular dish washing soap, and clean the Humidifier resivour 1 time a week and this model was dishwasher safe.

Any other tips or different suggestions.

I don't dump the unused water out...I just add more each night. I use distilled water only. About twice a year I'll dump it out, pour in straight white vinegar, let that sit for an hour or so, pour out the vinegar, slosh soapy water around, rinse well.... and start over again for months and months of just adding more distilled water as needed.

I don't keep water in the humidifier. But, I do not fill it all the way, either. I filled it about 45% during the fall. Now that the furnace is on, I put more water in because the air is drier. I generally have only a bit of water left in the morning. If I have too much one morning, I put less in that night. I worry about keeping the water fresh because of hubby's allergies.

your water usage will vary depending on your pressure ,humidity setting ,realative humidity , hours of use etc. i can go sometimes three days on a fill.
feel free to play with the adjustment to see what works for you. everyone is different. maybe keep a notebook of you are a little foggy.
as far as cleaning , mostly avoid any cleaner with alcohol or harsh chemicals.(bleach comes to mind) . if you have a cold or flu i would recomend daily cleaning . other wise once a week should be ok . you can feel if the mask seal surface feels greasy it's time to clean.
like i said everyone is different so what works for some may not work for you , and vice versa.
