Oximeter Reading - 1st night- Requesting Feedback

Post by Starlette » Sat Nov 12, 2011 10:02 am

Good morning all.

I did my first SPO2 reading last night. Requesting feedback.
May want to regard/disregard that first part (not sure). There was a break, I woke up.
Think that cluster was because I was cold sleeping in the spare bedroom then warmed up.
NOTE: It should be a sin for how long it took to prepare all this!

Thank you in advance. Happy Saturday.

Hi Starlette, sorry I'm no help in interpreting your report, hopefully someone with more experience will tell you more about your charts. I would be interested in knowing more as well. Looks like you have some pretty good informational readouts though.
I was just wondering what model you have? I just ordered the Contec CMS 50-F and am waiting for it. Headaches are still an issue with me, and I wanted to check further into the 02 levels at night. Good Luck with all this.

I looked at this earlier today but could figure out the time lines. Your O2 is good. The erratic portions are probably REM or awake. If you zoom into those sharp drops in the 10 minute view, there are probably breaks in the line where it lost signal. Sometimes it happens when you move.
You should be able to line up the drops with your events. But I also have desats when events are too short to be flagged. I don't worry about them if they go right back up. Doesn' t the PRS1 have a clock?

Overall, your data looks good.

You need to create a data set so you can see what variations are normal for you.

Once you have 5 - 10 nights of data you should be able to pick out some trends.

Starlette,
Good job on getting any info out of your oximeter. Buggy software to be sure.

With your lowest desat at 88, well there's nothing wrong with that. 88 is sort of the safety cut-off. Anything lower is a danger.
