My DME printed out the first 5 or 6 weeks from my card.
If I understood my doctor correctly, he made it sound like the SD card could hold a LOT of data. I got the impression that he could go back to any point and look at the data, like he thought years of data would fit. That sounded wrong, but if a card is only 2% full after a half a year, maybe it can hold a machine's "lifetime" of data...

If you are struggling with congestion, it helped me to add Alkalol to my daily sinus rinse. This reduced my congestion and allows me to breathe freely with my CPAP mask. CPAPtalk post about Alkalol use here: viewtopic.php?p=665255#p665255

Jules,
Thanks for your post to my questions.
By the way, what does PSG stand for...?

Thanks for your post to my questions.
That’s good to know. I was starting wonder if maybe the SD card was somehow partitioned like a hard drive or something, but I have never heard of that being done to a card. Only 7 sessions Good thing this machine has the SD card instead of a Smart card!the data for a night is pretty small - the card might not be quite 100 % free but close to that - I was surprised about that too as I was used to using a smart card that only held 7 session on my old machine
Also good to know. In the first 3 days of having the machine I did nothing more than push on and off the main control button. Yesterday evening, before going to bed I got brave (due to watching a video about the machine) and played around with the functions (without changing anything), and then I saw the same kind of data exchange when I removed and replaced the SD card. Mystery solved, Thanks!the card will always trigger the message about some kind of data exchange when you put it back into the APAP - i have the same machine and have noticed at least once I didn't see the message and the card icon was missing on the LED so I took it out and put it back in
I am only 4 days in since starting my OSA treatment so the numbers are still something that I am learning about. I knew that the 70+ AHI was not good, but I just recently discovered from reading posts on this forum that a low 70's or lower O2 sat level is very bad. Good thing we are treating our OSA now, as I'm sure life expectancy is very poor without treatment with continued numbers even half of that.I am also in the 70 plus club with a double 71 - 71 AHI and 71 for lowest O2 sat during PSG
By the way, what does PSG stand for...?

Pugsy,
I hope your Sunday afternoon is going well!
I know, we could poll all the PR S1 APAP users on this forum and see who has the lowest % of space left on their machine? Hmm, might be interesting
P.S. As you can see I have discovered the ‘quote’ function when doing a reply post. It is like a new toy right now, but I promise not to become too annoying with it... well, maybe just a little in the beginning.

Yeah, the data from the machine is probably very small in its unaltered state (before it is run through the software and turn into charts and graphs). I bet the SD card could hold a lot of the machines data. Like Java Time said in a reply post to me regarding data stored on his SD card - “...2% full after a half a year, maybe it can hold a machine's "lifetime" of data...? Good question, inquiring minds want to know!Regarding the amount of free space on the SD card.
Started using the PR S1 APAP mid April this year. Just checked card the other day 98% free.

Java Time,
Thank you for helping me out regarding my machine/SD card question!
I think you may be right. If you look at the other posts replying back to me about this same question, it is possible that it might have almost unlimited 'lifetime' storage capacity using the data format that the PR S1 APAP uses. Very interesting!

Well if you do make a poll, remember any SD card will work and while ResMed and Respironics supply a 1 GB SD card some users have purchased larger capacity SD card. I have 2 machines now. One has a 1 GB card and the other one has a 2 GB card because the original was misplaced when I bought the machine so I bought 2 GB replacement. I think some users have 8 GB cards. The machine will wear out before that gets full.2 B Sleeping Soundly wrote:we could poll all the PR S1 APAP users on this forum and see who has the lowest % of space left on their machine? Pugsy,
Like all well thought out plans (not) this one was doomed to fail! I should of found out more information before I got myself all excited about a poll... just a wet behind the ears hose head <sigh>
