VERY impressed with cpap.com

Post by nichola » Fri Nov 11, 2011 1:19 am

Well I ordered myself an APAP machine on Wednesday. It is now Friday and the machine is in Sydney and in transit to my hometown. It will likely be delivered Monday or Tuesday.

I am VERY impressed by this.

I order a lot of items online and usually have to wait 2 to 3 weeks and sometimes 4 or 5 for things to get to me. This is a very plesant suprise.

Only sucky thing was ResMed refuse to allow them to ship their products to Oz so no spare mask or cushions like I was also hoping to get at their much better pricing...

I've also had good experiences with Cpap.com. You can probably find the Resmed masks you want from venders on Ebay (in parts) or on Craigslist (search http://www.allofcraigs.com).

Stop turning the knife in the wound.
I would have bought ResMed datacard & stuff from there, but unfortunately those ResMed items could not be delivered
to Finland. Had to go somewhere else and pay more.

I live in the States and use Cpap.com all the time.
Great service and very nice people.
They're in Houston and I live about 90 miles away.
I get my package the day after I ordered it. Wonderful!!

I 'm pretty sure I bought my Intellipap from them. post to Sydney was 4 days or so, post from Sydney to northern NSW was 6 days. I dont think even the NBN will fix that, something to do with horses and carts.

We have had excellent results ordering from them.
Of course it takes a little longer from Texas to Egypt.
I kid: you turn Nebraska sideways, and there's this river down the middle--and not much else.

Respironics or other brand masks work just fine with ResMed CPAP machines.

You might find ResMed parts available to Oz from ebay, but I'm not sure about that.

Well the end result was quite good. Got my new CPAP machiney in under a week!

Was somewhat disappointed the machine didnt come with the hard case AND soft case I would have gotten from the DME, and from my understanding comes as standard...

but other than that an overal good experience and a new CPAP machine for less than 1/2 what i would have paid in Australia

The soft carry case comes standard. I haven't seen a hard case for any of the machines, can you post a link?

Please go to your profile and update your equipment.

Heres a pic of the hard case. It certainly comes standard from my DME. I suspect it isnt shipped with cpap.com because of the additional postage costs

Searched some more and found it. Looks like $60 sold seperately. Didn't see it on cpap.com but on another site. If you travel a lot it may be worth the investment.

Yep i can grab it seperately which is good. IT would have been good to be aware of that before puchase though, as it seems that in Oz the hard case comes as standard. All the people i chatted to about this machine mentioned the two cases option ...

Not a big deal, but would have been good to have it included.

I was momentarily charmed by the appearance of the ICON, but I'm addicted to my S9 Autoset data. . .
A word to the wise: I discovered that on my insurance, out-of network purchases can apply toward in-network deductible;
but the claim needed to be filed within 6 months.
I'll be sure to check for changes this coming year--they like to change 'little' things.
