Got Machine today!!!!

Post by wmcanally » Wed Nov 09, 2011 7:00 pm

Ok i have my equipment listed on profile. I received a Remstar Auto A flex with a System One Heated Humidifier. The respitory employee at the DME told me the Doctor has it prescribed on Auto for now. I come back in 6 weeks for me to download data and take a look. I do nothing i was told but turn it on and sleep. She demonstrated how to adjust mask and check for leaks. Mask is a Mirage FX Nasal Mask.

Now i don't know where to find what software the unit has . PLease help. Any advise on 1st nights sleep would be really appreciated.

You have some software choices. I have compose an explanation and some examples. You can see it here.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64906&st=0&sk=t&sd= ... re+options

If you want the Provider/Clinical manual, I have it in pdf format. Just send me a private message with your private email address and I will send it to you as a pdf attachment. We can't do attachments here at the forum.

I have the same machine. It's a great machine. Worst thing about it is that the data on the LCD screen is so limited it sucks but we have good software options so doesn't matter.

In the equipment list and then the drop down menu the machine is called PR System One Remstar Auto CPAP with AFlex.
Like I have in my signature. You have the right image showing. I didn't look to see which model you chose.

The PR is for Philips Respironics which you see on the machine. We shorten it to PR S1 ....so and so.. to lessen typing.
Normally new people choose the old tank which is called Remstar so and so that you see on your machine but that old model predates 2007. Common error to not realize the PR part of it. No big deal. Respironics needs to name their stuff different. Total confusion most of the time. They have used Remstar on everything since time began I think.

The provider manual will also explain a lot of the terms you see in the software reports.
