I have been using Ayr Gel for years for dry nose. Recently my wife had a coupon for a free NeilMed NasoGel Gel Spray, http://www.neilmed.com/usa/nasogel.php.
The product is marketed as "drip-free" and it comes very close to that when used properly.
The last few weeks I have had dry nasal passages and a scratchy throat probably due to ragweed allergy. For a week now I have been using the NasoGel Spray instead of the Ayr Gel. The spray is very convenient and does a job comparable to the Ayr Gel. A bit of it will drip into the back of the throat and helps calm down my little cough.
Maybe if I get very dry nasal passages in the winter I will have to revert to the Ayr Gel, but for now I am enjoying the convenience of the NasoGel spray. Besides the convenience the spray helps the cough more than the Ayr Gel does.
(My definition of convenience is not having to stick your finger up your nostrils.)
