My new S9 Autoset!!

Post by bdp522 » Tue Nov 08, 2011 6:36 am

Well it isn't pink, but that's ok! I was pleasantly surprized when I got home last night to find a new S9 Autoset on my doorstep! Apria got me the right machine with almost no effort on my part at all!! Of course I set it up right away!
What a difference! My breathing felt much more natural than before. I even had to check to be sure the machine was on. It is alot quieter than my old tank. My data this morning(Thanks Uncle_Bob!) showed AHI 0.7 all obstructives(7 hrs). I set the machine on Auto with a range of 2 under and 2 over my usual pressure just to see what the data would show. I never woke from a pressure change. I'll raise the minimum tonite to my normal pressure of 10.5 to see what happens(spent most of the night at 10.7). My leaks showed a little higher than normal(still in an acceptable range), but it may have just been 'one of those' nights or the new nasal pillows. I did feel as if the EPR was sucking the air out of me at one point so I'll lower it for tonight(was 3 will try 2). I used my regular aussie heated hose with the H5i humidifier on 3, and found this to be quite comfortable.
All in all I am very impressed with this machine! I really didn't expect to feel such a difference in the machines, but WOW!

Brenda

Great news... I felt the same excitement you did when I got my autoset. Like you said, it may take you a few nights to "tweak" the machine, but you'll find your"sweet spot" soon! Keep us updated!!
