My three night stand, and now she is leaving...
Re: My three night stand, and now she is leaving...
I remember my first! It was the ASV unit in my second sleep study! Although it was a split study, and I only actually logged 1.5 hours I felt brilliant the next morning. I felt good for the whole next week it took my DME to order in a unit for me to take home.

I really like the idea of taking an apap home for 3 days vs an overnight titration at a sleep center. At least from my personal experience, the one uncomfortable night I spent there didn't give an accurate account of a normal night. This also gives you a few days to see how you do on a pap. Theoretically someone would be available to answer any questions that came up during your testing period. It sounds like all you did was drop it off but, in a perfect world you would have met with someone who would discuss your experience and what to expect next with you.

This was how my doctor titrated me (well, he didn't titrate me, I did, but that was the idea I guess). He set the pressure fairly wide and let me have at it. Only difference was I didn't have to return my unit.Ineedanap wrote:I really like the idea of taking an apap home for 3 days vs an overnight titration at a sleep center.
