Hello everyone,
I cannot make any sense out of my readings before & after slight adjustment of pressure. A adjustment was necessary as the previous pressure of 6.6 was not controling the AHI.
My EPR is 2 & full time. Swift FX Mask, S8 Elite 2.
I do understand how the AI increases & the HI slightly decrease & yet the overall AHI stays practically the same. Is increasing the pressure a bad idea? Is it not better to have lower AI's & higher Hi's as opposed to Higher AI's & lower Lower HI's if the AHI is almost the same in the end? How am I suppose to lower both of these, if increasing pressure just lowers the Hi & raises the Ai's? Also the time in apneas seems to increase with pressure.
Thanks. Rick

You probably should concentrate on the AI numbers. When you find the pressure that gives you the lowest AI, you can then tweak a little more to see what happens with the AHI.
Keep in mind that the S8 scores HI a little higher than other machines and its scoring was changed with the S9.

Go back to day 1 settings and LEAVE THEM ALONE for at least a week. There is no point to making setting changes after only 1 night.
