Hybrid masks
Re: Hybrid masks
I do, I have 3 Respcare/Innomed Hybrids. I like the fact that theres nothing above my nares to bug me....can even wear my glasses easily. I took me a couple of weeks to get the bugs tweeked out but once I did, I will keep wearing it. If you would read Rosters directions....taming the hybrid...you will get it. Like Roster I cut off the chin flap as I found it rather hot. I use padacheeks mask liner and strap covers........just love them. I use the medium cushion and pillows as it comes with all three sizes....so can trade with others for the size you need. Go to Respcare/Innomeds web site and watch the video.....actually its probably on cpap.coms web site too.

Re: Hybrid masks
I'm a recent convert to the Hybrid mask and i really like it. After trying about 5 or 6 FFM, the Hybid is the best for me. Like others will tell you, it does take a bit of fiddling to get it right but after this, it should be good. However, like other masks, it does play up every now and then for no reason but don't let this put you off as everyone seems to have a bad night every now and then. I really like the chinstrap as it keeps my mouth closed and is making me breath through my nose for the first time. Highly recommend it.

Re: Hybrid masks
I love my hybrid (Respcare). The quatro, though nice, never quite sealed and was leaking into my eyes imperceptibly.FeelingBetter wrote:Has anyone out there used the hybrid masks? What are your thoughts?

The hybrid avoids all the sensitive skin the quatro irritated and can handle my non Barbie shaped face.

Re: Hybrid masks
I'm very happy with my Resmed Mirage Liberty hybrid mask. I needed a full face mask because of mouth leakage with a nasal pillow mask (Swift FX). I tried a chin strap but didn't like wearing it and wasn't interested in taping my mouth shut. So, that left me with full face masks and I was hoping to find one that wasn't as obtrusive as some of them with the forehead supports, etc. The hybrid design made sense to me because with a smaller footprint, I thought the chances of getting a good seal against leaks should be better than one that goes over your mouth and nose. I'm getting excellent results with the Mirage Liberty and find it to be comfortable and most importantly, I'm sleeping through the night now. Good luck! Try it before you buy it if you can.
