Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
I notice a marked difference in the quality of my sleep across a year. How about you?
It would be interesting to learn what you ascribe any differences to. And (if your profile doesn't already indicate) whether you live someplace with mild or pronounced seasons.
I guess whether you sleep equally bad or equally good year-round, you can check all the boxes.

Re: Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
I clicked Winter. It is cold here in winter and I keep my room more chilly in winter with the window cracked.. All snugly in my bed, it might be a mental thing with me.. Like I am hibernating ...

Winter, no contest with the other seasons.
Cold room.
Warm, cosy bed (and/or cuddling with warm, cosy hubby ).
Dark late into the morning.
With CPAP, weekends when I can sleep in are HEAVEN!

Re: Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
I love snuggling in under nice, soft blankets & wearing soft flannel pj's. So, I vote for winter.
Re: Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
I chose winter as well for the same reasons above, but I also chose spring and fall for the cool nights with the window open.
Thinking of quitting CPAP?
No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:
Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.

Re: Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
Also choose Winter. Love to hear the pitter patter of rain drops outside on a cold rainy night. This will be my first winter with my ASV machine, so I guess I'll have to settle now for the pitter patter of condensation dripping off the inside of my mask. Somehow it's just not quite the same, but at least I'm feeling a lot better.

Voted for winter.. allergies seem to be more dorment. I like the bedroom cool also.
Although my AHI's don;t seem to have a preference.

Re: Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
I object to the list of answers. I sleep best in the... now... 3 months we turn off DST. I guess that would be winter. Needless to say, I am fully in favor of abolishing it.

Re: Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
Autumn and Winter because the sun sets latter, I'm very sensitive to light and it wakes me up early in Summer time.
I need to add that even if I sleep better on those seasons I have a hard time to get really wake up on day time, because of the lack of light (the shorter days of the year) . I bought a blue light from Cooper Medical Supplies last year, it helped me a lot, it's true it works when you have problems with the lack of sun light.

Re: Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
Winter, hands down.
No pollen. Cool to cold bedroom and a warm hubby and a down comforter. Pre-cpap, the cat was welcome in the bedroom. Not anymore because I've yet to come up with a catproof way to allow me easy access to the on-off button for when I wake up and need to turn the machine off and back on to get the pressure back down to 6/4 to get back to sleep. (On the S1 BiPAP Auto, the ramp is disabled if the min EPAP = 4.)
Although it's not asked for, I think spring is my worst season for sleeping. Tree pollen seems to be worse than ragweed or grass and weed pollens for some reason.

Re: Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
For me it's strictly a temperature thing. I sleep best in the spring as soon as the heat is shut off, and in the fall before the heat is turned on. I like the cool! I would keep a window open in the winter but my husband is always cold(he's way older than me) and needs the heat AND an electric blanket! Even when I turn the heat down, his electric blanket keeps me too hot.

Perrybucsdad, polls here can't handle the required branching logic. If you sleep equally badly then you can pick all 4.
Alshain, I hate DST also, with a passion! Do you know of any viable movements trying to abolish this stupid, stupid practice?
To all the winter people, do you live where the climate is mild? I can’t imagine cracking open the window here in the upper midwest, where temps get into negatives.
Does anyone wake up from being too cold? The last couple/few years, when I waking up with a cold head and forehead, often accompanied with a mild headache. My waking patterns don’t seem much different across the seasons.
In the winter we allow the thermostat to go down to the mid-60s, and I’ve been having to get up and bump the heat in the middle of the night. (I have a regular, 2am-ish wake-up.) I don’t get all the ‘cool room’ advice…I have flannel sheets on the bed in the winter and can’t fall asleep with cold feet, so I have to wear socks!
Maybe I need to get a sleep cap to wear!
I should also say that I’m not currently using xpap, since I still haven’t found a dr who has any ideas on how to address the problems I experienced when I was on it. Both times I tried using it, and both my sleep studies, were in the winter. I’m beginning to wonder how much and in what ways that might have influenced my results.

Re: Poll: In which season(s) do you sleep best?
I did not choose one over the other; as I can not really decide.
Each season has its pros and cons--I feel it's good to have some change.
It keeps things from getting stale.
Sorry I can't be any better help.
