How to contact the site admin?

Post by turbosnore » Thu Nov 03, 2011 8:06 am

I couldn't find any links where to send a message if one makes a mistake.

I seem to accidentally reported spam, and I don't find a way to cancel it or anything.

Site admin, if you see this, could you please consider any spam report by me as cancelled or non-existent.
I have never had any reason to report anything here as spam, and there shouldn't be more than one accidental case.

Relax - an accident is an accident

Look at the thread on the main page - Why is it necessary to have a support team? - which is in the box "Announcements" near the top of the page. Then click on "carolyngoodman" and that will enable you to send a private message to Carolyn, who often helps out in these instances

cheers

Oh no, you will most certainly get banned for that.

Just kidding... I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks. I just don't want to cause problems to anybody by my sloppiness.

Deleting SPAM is a two part process, to do it you would have to make two mistakes. Jim

Well, I accidentally pressed the "report spam"-button, and some window opened.
I immediately closed the window, but I guess the damage was already done.

As Goofproof says it takes two actions to execute a delete.

It goes like this -

After you press the Report Spam button and go to the new window you are asked -

"Are you sure that you would like to report this post as spam?"

You then have to click on -

"Yes, Delete This Post" for the post to be deleted.

So you did not action the "Yes, Delete This Post" button and no-one was deleted

So relax - no harm was done.

And even if you had deleted the post by accident it would have shortly been restored.

cheers

Mars
