awake!

Post by minniesc » Wed Nov 02, 2011 4:37 am

I woke up this morning before my alarm clock. Not hours before, not a brief, stiring wake. But I am awake. Ready to rise. It is an amazing feeling. had a rocky start on my journey, starting last May. Until my mask was changed in August, I was not successful, logging in only about 4 hours a night, then I switched to a quattro fx and began using it 7 or 8 hours a night. A serious respitory infection sidelined me in September, and October has been a bit rocky due to severe asthma and my dr. not being able to get things under control. Interestingly, since I am awaiting a new cushion for my mask by mail and the leaks are so horrid I switched back to my original mask, the quatre full face last night, I do not think I had a single leak all night, woke only once, and am no longer wheezing this morning. The whole awake thing though, blew my mind. When I say things like this to non cpap users, they look at me strangely and think I need a vacation.
Good Morning!

I know what you mean. My wife rolls her eyes when I start my "cpap-talk". You are making great head-way! I was a little surprised to see that you were sucessful when you used your old mask. Keep going! Don't stop now.... full steam ahead!

Best of wishes, Sheriff

LOL, yeah, xPAP is indeed a cult. Unless your life is touched by it, you have issues understanding why we're so crazy about it =)

Keep going, it keeps getting better!

It's a wonderful feeling! I hope this is the first of many good mornings.

Thanks for posting. We need all of the positives we can get on this forum.
