First Three Nights of Data
Here are my results from three nights of sleep, how do the numbers look? Is there something I should adjust?

Re: First Three Nights of Data
Segmented short hours. I wouldn't do anything at this point. I would give it time to see how it settles out but not really anything earth shattering that warrants any work at the present time.
Congrats on the new machine.

Re: First Three Nights of Data
Agreeing with Pugsy that I don't see anything in last night's data (the data that's actually posted) that indicates a need to tinker with settings. You mainly need to work on lengthening the sessions so that you're sleeping all night long with the mask. So a relevant question is: What were you doing between about 1:30AM and 4:00AM? Did you take the mask off in your sleep? Did you consciously take the mask off and intentionally return to sleep maskless? Did you get out of bed because you couldn't sleep (or get back to sleep) with the mask on?
I also want to point out for others who are looking at the data: The Swift FX (RomeinDNVR's mask) has an expected leak rate of 37 L/min at 12cm of pressure. So those average and 90% leak rate numbers are GOOD numbers. My guess is the at the very large max leak rate was a very short lived leak that may even have been caused by you intentionally breaking the seal either re-seat the mask or scratch your nose.

Re: First Three Nights of Data
I think during 1:30AM and 4:00AM i pulled off the mask in my sleep and then woke up to put it back on 2.5 hours later. I have to change the mask that I am using, it is a comfortfull 2 now. Trying to find something that works when my sinuses are clogged up. I have been struggling keeping my mask on the entire night, still haven't found a solution to it yet.robysue wrote:Agreeing with Pugsy that I don't see anything in last night's data (the data that's actually posted) that indicates a need to tinker with settings. Re: First Three Nights of Data
It happens to lots of new users. The important thing is to put that mask back on as soon as you wake up and realize it's not on your nose.RomeinDNVR wrote: I think during 1:30AM and 4:00AM i pulled off the mask in my sleep and then woke up to put it back on 2.5 hours later. Sometimes the problem resolves itself as the unconscious mind learns to accept the mask as the new reality.
Neti Pot or Sinus Rinse Bottle. If you haven't ever tried one of them, that's where I'd suggest starting. If need be, ask for a prescription for a nasal steroid spray. You really do need to figure out a way of proactively dealing with the congestion. Also consider changing the humidifier setting. Try going DOWN as well as UP. Too much humidity can cause some people as many problems as too little humidity does.Trying to find something that works when my sinuses are clogged up.
Some folks suggest taping the mask to your face. Or wearing mittens to bed to make it a bit harder to take the mask off. But the main thing is to keep putting the mask back on every time you wake up with it off.I have been struggling keeping my mask on the entire night, still haven't found a solution to it yet.
All the best

You can also wear the mask while awake. Read, watch tv, listen to the radio, anything to keep your mind off the mask and machine. It may help you get used to the mask more quickly.
I use http://pur-sleep.com/. I like the clear to help keep my sinuses open.
