I am eligible to get a new mask through my insurance. I have been using a Respironics nasal mask so far (On my Resmed S9 Elite machine). I was wondering if I should try something nice and new. Can you please suggest some.
Thank you!!

Hi, "K" I've been using the cloth Sleepweaver mask for going on 3 months, and like it. There is some tendendcy to leak a bit, but I've had fewer issues with my softy than the wife has had with her Hard masks. If you search for comments on Sleepweaver you will find that many love it and other give up on the leak issue. It's so very comfortable.
I have not tried pillows.. if I had to go the route of FFM, I'd try the Hybrid by deVilbiss. Good luch on your quest for a next mask.

I am a huge Sleepweaver fan. I had a problem with leaking at the eyes until I started using an eye mask. I don't have anymore leaks. It is so comfortable and soft. No mask lines on my face anymore either.

Hi, archangle, I guessed that is what you meant, but wasn't sure that it applied to all of our masks.

Vaseline may be corrosive to silicone, but the goopy stuff saved my a$$, allowed me to finally seal my mask, and stop the leaks.

So from my POV, I'll just have to buy the replacement part more often, way worth the cost.

Good reason as any to shop here and not your local DME; just buy more of em, and don't pay retail.

I may try honey as a sealant . . .

rocklin, you could do a online search for a non petroleum based jelly or make your own.

Great links, thanks, jabman.

Wonder if I tested different formulations, then whipped up a huge batch, if I could give the stuff away here for testing.

What would we call the goo: "PaP-Seal"?

I'm game if others here are.
