HI,
Went for my split-night sleep study on Wednesday night and yes, I definitely have sleep apnea. It's exhilarating to finally have a diagnosis! I used the mask with pillows (not sure of correct terminology) during the second half of the night and did great! It didn't bother me at all and the tech told me the next morning that I had REM sleep for 2 hours with the mask on, but zero in the first half. I felt like I could tell a small difference yesterday in my fatigue after using the mask for just one night!
So, I've been reading alot on this board....have a definite list of questions for my doc and the DME provider. My doc has certain DME providers that he refers to, but i know I'm not required to use any of his if I don't want to. My question is...anybody from the Atlanta area have a particularly good DME provider that they care to share? I'm actually on the southside of Atlanta if anyone south of Atlanta has a good one?
Thanks for everyone's input on this board!
Any recommendations on DME in Atlanta area?

I used SleepMed for a few years, they're a good bit north of town though. Very rarely would I visit them up there, however. I had a good experience with them, they gave me a loaner VPAP at first to collect data, then when I was supposed to switch to another CPAP I didn't like the machine and thought it was too noisy and I didn't like that it had less data collecting functions, so I worked it out with them (and my doctor) that I got to keep the loaner. Also, they shipped quickly enough when I ordered stuff, and once when the machine broke all I had to do was drive up there to get a replacement.
I got a new job though and my insurance doesn't cover SleepMed. The people I use now are Total Sleep which has 13 Georgia locations. My only interaction with them so far is getting replacement parts for my machine and mask sent, it's been going OK.

I am in the Decatur area and use AeroCare in Marietta. Don't waste your time on them. I do not recommend the local office at all. However, I get a very quick response from their corporate office in Winston-Salem, NC. So I stay with the company.
